Celebration Assembly at Raleigh Academy and Admirals Academy
At Raleigh Infant Academy and Admirals Academy, our weekly Celebration Assembly is an important opportunity to recognise achievement, celebrate individual and collective success, and reinforce the values that help our children flourish both academically and personally.
Held every Friday morning, the assembly brings pupils together to reflect on the week, celebrate accomplishments and look ahead with confidence. It is a positive and enjoyable occasion that helps strengthen our academy community and ensures that success, effort and character are recognised publicly.
Celebrating Achievement and Our Academy Values
The assembly begins with recognition of whole-school achievements, including House Point successes and attendance awards. Classes are encouraged to work together throughout the week, and the class with the strongest attendance chooses the music played as pupils enter the hall. This helps create a positive atmosphere from the very start of the event.
For pupils in Years 1, 2 and 3, teachers award our ARK certificates and badges, recognising children who consistently demonstrate our academy values of:
- Aspiration – dreaming big, being hopeful for the future and striving to achieve great things.
- Respect – treating others with kindness, care and consideration.
- Kindness – helping others and showing compassion within our school community.
Celebrating Character Development
Alongside academic achievement, we place great importance on developing character and the personal qualities that help children succeed in school and beyond.
Each week, one class from Years 4, 5 or 6 is given the opportunity to showcase their learning, achievements and experiences to the wider school community. Over the course of the year, every class has several opportunities to present and share what makes them unique.
